Recognised Verifier · Calibration laboratory for mass, weighing technology and force

Specialists in mass, weighing technology and force measurement

MASSLAB is a brand-independent calibration laboratory for mass, weighing equipment and force measuring instruments. From our specialised facilities we support industry, laboratories and inspection bodies with reliable calibrations, legal verifications and measuring equipment management.

Our expertise

Mass, weighing and force: one metrological chain

A weight is a known mass. A scale converts the force of that mass into a reading. A force transducer measures that force directly. Mastering all three means the whole chain from reference to readout can be calibrated traceably.

Mass

Weights and mass standards

Calibration of test weights, calibration weights and mass standards from 1 mg to 2,000 kg in OIML R111 classes F1 to M3. With cleaning, adjustment and a traceable certificate with measurement uncertainty, calculated by our own R111 LIMS software. We sell and rent weights in E1 to M3.

Weighing

Scales, balances and weighbridges

Calibration of weighing equipment according to EURAMET cg-18, from analytical balance to weighbridge and crane scale, on site or in our laboratory and for all makes. As a Recognised Verifier we re-verify legally verified scales after repair or a broken seal.

Force

Force measuring instruments in tension and compression

Calibration of force transducers, load cells, dynamometers, force gauges, crane scales, load pins, load shackles and hydraulic jacks on our own tensile and compression benches: tension up to 500 kN, compression up to 4,000 kN. ISO 376 and ISO 7500-1 where applicable, measurement uncertainty according to EURAMET cg-4.

Who we are

Brand-independent, traceable and in-house

MASSLAB is a brand-independent calibration laboratory that calibrates, verifies, sells, rents out and maintains weights, weighing equipment and force measuring instruments. From our laboratory for mass and weighing technology in Geldermalsen and our force laboratory in Elspeet we serve customers throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

We have a fully climate-controlled calibration environment in which temperature and humidity are monitored continuously. Calibrations are performed in accordance with OIML R111, R76 and R51 and the EURAMET cg-18 guideline. Our own R111 software automatically calculates conventional mass, air buoyancy corrections and uncertainty budgets.

We work for a wide range of sectors: the food industry, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and petrochemicals, logistics and transport, agriculture, metal and plastics, lifting and hoisting, offshore, construction and test and inspection laboratories. Whether it concerns a single reference weight, the annual recalibration of hundreds of test weights or a force transducer from a press: MASSLAB is the right address.

Mass: 1 mg – 2,000 kg

From fine laboratory weights to heavy industrial mass pieces: we calibrate the full range in classes F1 to M3.

Force: tension up to 500 kN, compression up to 4,000 kN

Force transducers, dynamometers, load shackles, jacks and crane scales on our own tensile and compression benches, with results in N, kN, kg or t.

Recognised Verifier

MASSLAB is a Recognised Verifier (Erkend Keurder) of measuring instruments under the Dutch Metrology Act and provides traceable measurement results with measurement uncertainty.

Brand-independent

We work independently of manufacturers and suppliers. Our advice is always objective and in your interest.

On site or in our laboratory

Calibration at your site or in our climate-controlled environment. We take care of all transport throughout the Netherlands and Belgium.

Own R111 software

In-house developed software according to OIML R 111-1 and R 111-2 for lower measurement uncertainty and more reliable certificates.

What we do

Our services

Weight calibration

Traceable calibration from 1 mg to 2,000 kg according to OIML R111. Including cleaning, adjustment and a traceable certificate.

Scale calibration and verification

Calibration of balances, platform scales, weighbridges and crane scales according to EURAMET cg-18, and legal re-verification as Recognised Verifier.

Force calibration

We calibrate force transducers, dynamometers, load shackles and hydraulic jacks on our own tensile and compression benches in Elspeet: tension up to 500 kN, compression up to 4,000 kN.

Sale of weights

Knob weights, weight sets, block weights, mass pieces and calibration tables. Classes E1 to M3 with certificate (web shop in Dutch).

Rental of test weights

Test weights for crane tests, weighbridge tests, lifting installations and temporary projects. Including transport.

Maintenance & overhaul

Maintenance contracts with periodic recalibration, overhaul, adjustment and legal re-verification. We plan everything for you.

Customer portal

24/7 online management of your weights, scales and force measuring instruments, calibration certificates and schedules. Automatic reminders for recalibration.
